Maggie Ballard Highlights District 6 Progress and Vision at Wichita Journalism Collaborative Forum
Council member Maggie Ballard joined fellow candidates at the Wichita Journalism Collaborative Forum to discuss priorities for the city and share her continued commitment to the people of District 6.
Throughout the evening, Maggie focused on the wins achieved during her first term—from improving neighborhood infrastructure and expanding access to essential resources, to strengthening community engagement across District 6. She also spoke candidly about the work that remains, emphasizing that progress is only possible when residents’ voices guide the path forward.
“Every initiative I’ve supported comes back to one thing—listening to our community,” Maggie shared. “I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together, but there’s still more work to do to make sure every neighborhood in District 6 feels heard, safe, and supported.”
As she seeks a second term, Maggie remains focused on building stronger connections between City Hall and the community it serves. Her priorities include continuing infrastructure improvements, addressing public safety with compassion and accountability, and investing in the people and programs that make Wichita’s neighborhoods thrive.
